The Guiding Star: Approach
Holistic
The Guiding Star focuses on the whole picture, i.e. the practical
work and the factors affecting a good result without neglecting
the feelings we have. The best results are obtained when the brain
and the heart co-operate.
Training
The Guiding Star emphasises training; individual training is used
extensively as well as group training. Individual training allows
examination of sensitive, core issues to which there is no access
from the group as a whole. Group training strengthens internal bonds
in the group and improves group work potential.
Needs-oriented
The Guiding Star takes individual needs into account and unites
them with the needs of the group and the company. When the needs
of the individual are met, his or her conditions for functioning
efficiently, productively and in a good mood are in place. The same
is valid for a group.
Practical
In the Guiding Star process, concrete achievable actions for change
are developed from the prevailing needs. A prerequisite for successful
change is the definition and delimitation of the goal into well-defined,
doable and understandable aspects.
Question-based
The Guiding Star does not provide ready-made solutions. Through
questions the individual person and the group will find the appropriate
solution. Each individual and each group knows what works best for
them.
Tailor-made
Each Guiding Star is tailor-made, based on the needs of the group
in question and the individuals within it. Every individual and
every group is unique with unique needs, and deserves a development
program matching those needs
